The women in green forum has emerged as the premier conference series highlighting women's impact on the environmental industry
From the White House to Fortune 500 company leaders, our annual program features the environmental industry's brightest and most innovative speakers. The mission of the Women In Green Forum is to create a venue for sustainability professionals to develop the skills necessary for professional success, to promote women’s leadership across the environmental industry, and to channel our efforts on building a better world where both genders have equal access to and are involved in leadership and decision-making. Offering interactive sessions, career workshops, networking activities, and a clean vehicle ride & drive, the Forum provides attendees with a platform to form effective relationships with key players in the environmental industry.
On August 30, 2017, the Forum returns to the Luxe Hotel on Sunset Boulevard. The Luxe offers an indoor/outdoor flow allowing attendees to dive into a variety of workshop sessions, grab a coffee under a tree in the sculpture garden, or browse the Eco Boutique for a highly curated marketplace featuring items sourced from the local makers scene.

The inaugural Women In Green Forum offered Lifetime Membership to all full-price attendees as a way of saying "thank you" for supporting the launch and as the first step in creating a long-lasting tradition and community of professionals supporting each other in their career endeavors. We have seen that conference ticket prices can often create a barrier to entry for most professionals in the early stages of their careers or those not backed by large companies. Reducing these barriers and encouraging professionals at various stages of their careers to attend, has helped build a strong, diverse Forum community.
The Women In Green Forum Advisory Council plays an instrumental role in shaping the Forum's focus and developing its program each year. Advisory Council members include:
Sarah Potts Ashton, Public Affairs, Southern California, Uber
Sarah Backhouse, Managing Director, Communications 50 at World 50, Inc.
Lourdes Cordova Martinez, Senior Public Affairs Manager, Science & Technology Advancement, South Coast AQMD
Drue Hargis, Senior Public Information Specialist, Contracts and Outreach Unit, Science & Technology Advancement Office, South Coast AQMD
Raminta Jautokas, Environmental Manager, American Honda Motor Co., Inc.
Nurit Katz, Chief Sustainability Officer, UCLA
The Youth Leadership Program includes a scholarship program to recruit students (high school, undergraduate, and graduate) to attend the Women In Green Forum, a mentorship program that connects established professionals with students for career counseling sessions and the presentation of the 2017 Youth Trailblazer Award during the luncheon at the Forum.
If you are a full-time student and interested in attending the Women In Green Forum, please complete a Youth Leadership Program Scholarship Application and submit your completed application by August 1, 2017.
